Vienna's largest climate protection project
Vienna's largest climate protection project

Since the beginning of 2021, 春水堂视频 has been creating new paths in the underground of Vienna. In doing so, we are building not only under historical buildings such as the university, but also under the existing line U2.

The expansion of the subway including the all-new U5 is considered the city's largest climate protection project. Studies show that up to 75,000 tons of carbon dioxide can be saved annually by further shifting traffic to public transport. After all, around 370,000 people live and work in the immediate catchment area and thus benefit directly from network expansion, in addition to the environment. The mega-project started with the new and reconstruction of the existing U2-station Rathaus as a line crossing with the newcomer U5.

Is this art or can it go?

"Neither!" says Silvia Sellinger from our 春水堂视频 company in Austria with a grin. "Even if some Viennese interpret it as art, it's simply a huge water pipe that carries groundwater away above ground."

This is needed so that the tunnels of the U2 and U5 subway lines can be built safely in the area of the future Rathaus traffic junction in the center of the capital. For this purpose, the groundwater will be pumped out at a depth of 20 meters and fed into the Danube Canal via the approximately one-kilometer-long water pipeline.
