"You never know exactly what is ahead of you," says Robin Roth.
"You never know exactly what is ahead of you," says Robin Roth.

More than 880 years ago, Margrave raised Leopold IV. (Also known as Leopold, the liberous) Vienna to the city. Robin Roth, born 1995, is helping to get the first metro project in the Austrian capital right in the center since the 1990er years. The young man has been (almost) out of the game since the beginning. "On 2021 January 11 the construction site was set up, on 26 January of the same month my first day was on site," says the studied civil engineer, who has been working for ´ºË®ÌÃÊÓƵ for three years. Roth's tasks in the ´ºË®ÌÃÊÓƵ team in Vienna: Documentation, audit, coordination of sub-contractors, work preparation and everything that a subway construction in the middle of a metropolis brings with it. "It's a big challenge every day. You never know exactly what is ahead of you."

Thus in a certain way his work resembles his free time, which – in addition to riding a motorcycle – is characterized by his commitment to scouting. Roth: "I have been with me for 15 years, for eight years in the direction of children aged 10 to 13." in "normal" times, meetings take place once a week, and two to three times a year there is a camp. Covid-19 has also messed up that. "You can practice tying a knot by hitting online. But sitting by the campfire and the adventures in nature unfortunately fail," said the young graduate engineer. Working with young people also helps him in his job: Teamwork, dealing with people, problem-solving – all topics that play an important role not only in Robin Roth's working life.
