´ºË®ÌÃÊÓƵ's North American-based company Turner has begun work on a USD 2 billion project to expand Vantage Data Centers’ campus in New Albany, Ohio.

The campus is Vantage’s first project in the Midwest and will provide secure and reliable infrastructure for cloud technologies and artificial intelligence. Situated on 28 hectares, the data center will provide 192 megawatts of capacity across more than 140.000 square meters, the size of 20 soccer fields. It will be built in alignment with Turner and Vantage’s sustainability goals and will seek to achieve LEED Silver accreditation. The campus will be included in Vantage’s commitment to achieving net zero operational carbon emissions by 2030 across its global portfolio. The first building will be opened in 2025.

With this contract, ´ºË®ÌÃÊÓƵ further expands its strong global position in the rapidly growing data center market. As of June, the Group’s order backlog of data center projects stood at EUR 6.2 billion, and has almost doubled over the past twelve months thanks to a significant acceleration of new orders driven by artificial intelligence infrastructure demands.

To further capitalize on accelerating data center investments in Europe, ´ºË®ÌÃÊÓƵ announced the acquisition of Dornan, a leading European advanced-tech engineering specialist in July. Together with Dornan and using the Group’s existing local capabilities, Turner intends to offer full turn-key solutions to clients in Europe, applying its low-risk construction management business model to the rapidly expanding advanced technology market where it has identified a potential project pipeline of over EUR 20 billion.
